I actually drove past one of these yesterday and am now kicking myself for not stopping.

it looks like when you take all the parts from a Mr. Potatohead and cram them all onto the body. Still love it though

There needs to be a '50s car Mr. Potatohead. Assortments of tail fins, headlights, grills, hood noses... There's a Darth Tater, after all - it's not like it'd be that ridiculous.

I'll take "Totally fucking idiotic things I'll make once I get a 3d printer", Alex. And no, I'm not just blowing steam - I have plans in that regard.

Probably going to have more free funds for 3d printer+ solidworks or some such after we finish the "build 36x40 covered area for cars" project. As of right now, my dad's shop and the workshop+paint booth attached are not really enough room for the scale of insanity we engage in, so there's a project on. 40ft Hi-Cube as the back wall/parts and long-term storage, slots in front.
A friend of mine who's basically my evil twin may beat me to actually getting a 3d printer. He needs it for parts for *his* Dalek. Then again, he's also a new dad, so long-term nerd projects are on the back burner.

I always suspected this was Peugeot's inspiration when they entered their "angry face" phase several years back.
